Return Policy

Effective November 1, 2022

Better World Books (“BWB”) values your satisfaction and offers you returns within thirty (30) days after the estimated delivery date on most items. All returned items must be in the original condition, used items should include the SKU sticker located on the spine or back of the product, and new items should be unused with sealed components, where applicable. If you have an incomplete, incorrect, or damaged shipment, please contact our Customer Care team at help@betterworldbooks.com before proceeding with the return.

We reserve the right to charge a processing fee and return shipping fee for any return, refund, or exchange that is not the result of BWB’s error. Delivery fees, taxes, and processing fees previously paid by you are all non-refundable.

We may offer you the opportunity to exchange your purchased item for another product. However, applicable processing fees, shipping, taxes, and additional fees may apply. Customers are responsible for paying the difference between exchanged items if the value of the new item exceeds the value of the original item.

Items That May Not Be Returned:

1. Requests that are made after the thirty (30)-day return/refund/exchange window timeframe.
2. Used items that do not have a SKU sticker located on the spine or back of the product, and new items that have been used.

Processing Fees:
New books and/or new items will be subject to a processing fee. Please contact our Customer Care team at help@betterworldbooks.com before proceeding with the return of new books and/or new items.

Where Do I Return My Item:

Items must be returned to the location from which the shipment originated.

For  items that shipped from Reno, NV or Mishawaka, IN locations, return to: For items that shipped from the UK locations, return to:

For Orders Placed before November 1, 2022. 

When can I return an item: We accept any return shipped to us within 60 calendar days of the purchase date. Items must be returned in their original condition; used items should include their SKU sticker located on the spine or back of the product and new items should be unused with sealed components, where applicable. If you have an incomplete, incorrect, or damaged shipment, please contact our Customer Care team before proceeding with the return.

What will be refunded: You’ll be refunded the original item price including tax. Shipping charges, including return shipping and tracking services, are non-refundable

What should be included with your return: Add a short note that includes your order number explaining the reason for your return. We strongly urge customers to keep a record of tracking or delivery confirmation when returning items.

What happens when my return is received: Once we receive your return, it will be processed within 5 business days. At this time, a refund will be issued to the original payment method and an email issued to the address associated with the order.
